We partner with other non-profits in getting the word out to our legislators regarding the issues that directly impact PAYA (pediatric, adolescent and young adult) Cancer patients and their families. As partners of the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2) and Critical Mass: YA Cancer Alliance, we strive to ensure that the general public is aware of the issues at hand, and then encourage our legislators to learn about the impact Cancer has on the patient, survivors, and families members. We attend workshops and conferences to learn about the issues and march with our fellow families in Washington DC at the annual CureFest Event.
In addition, we provide community outreach and awareness through speaking engagements to groups. There is no charge for this service provided the speaking engagement is local. However, contributions to the foundation are always appreciated.
